By his late teens he was already receiving major commissions, later working in Florence and Rome, where he absorbed the influence of artists such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. From these encounters he developed a visual language based on proportion, composition and extraordinary ease.

Raphael’s work is marked by calm authority and luminous balance. From his celebrated Madonnas to The School of Athens, he transforms complex subjects into compositions of perfect harmony, where emotion is expressed through structure rather than tension.
