These MILITARY UNIFORMS, from Europe and N. America c. 1750 to 1914, can be enjoyed both as a fascinating record of how men once DRESSED for WAR, and as little jewels of (mostly 19C) illustration. Uniforms were often unwisely colourful and exotic but they helped distinguish units in the smoke and fury of battle, and encouraged esprit de corps. A collectors’ deck for the connoisseur.
